Keep Trying

God bless the Olympic athletes and the courage they show us. Not just to win, but to compete with all that you have - even in the face of accident, tragedy, or discouragement. In these tough times we all need to know that. We sometimes would like to give up, but that is not giving the best of us - is it? I think that is all that He asks of us. Thank you for showing us what can be accomplished given perseverance.

Snow

Snow, Snow, and more snow. Crazy lake -effect snow at times. Winter seems not to be impressed by P.Phil's shadow sighting back on Feb.2 and winter seems a bit long and spring yet far away....

Ash Wednesday

The start of the season of Lent, Ash Wednesday. Went to this evening's service and was very moved by Pastor Kris Hewitt of Ivanhoe and; his message of hope after his familes' personal loss. Reminded that even though we enter into a period of 40 days of interspection, retrospection, an redemption - it is sometimes filled with trepidation of our own personal trials. We neeed to let go of all that, that keeps us tied to our own "cross" to bear. Our Lord takes the burden on for us!
We need to "easter" away our fears....
Our hope is that all of you have a very spirit filled season!
The Psalms are a good source of inspiration for us.
Psalm 52 .. His Steadfast love Endures FOREVER
